AMD has been lagging behind for quiet some time now, with Intel releasing a plethora of those silicon based bastards we call CPUs, but now AMD is one step ahead of where it used to be, with the new addition of the AMD A4 3300/3400 APUs, they’re aimed at the budget wary consumers, since the 3300 clocks at 2.5GHz with a 330MHz Radeon GPU and the 3400 clocks at 2.7GHz with a 600MHz Radeon GPU, this line competes mainly with the newer Intel sandy bridge chips that sport an integrated Intel HD GPU (I’m guessing AMD will do better than Intel for the given price range), a quick Amazon search showed only the A4 3400 priced at $89.00, with no existence of its younger brother on the e-store.
Hopefully though, we’ll see some more of AMD trying to get back up on their feet, after all, the soul crushing almost 16 core Bulldozer line won’t even match up to the i7 line in terms of clock speed, and we can’t even get our hands on this baby yet as it’s chipping for servers first (those greedy bastards!)
